Free Time Bar : Barstreet
The Free Time Bar is situated in the Busstation Street, the street where most of the nightlife of Cha Am can be found. Cozy little restaurants, little shops, massage salons and a dozen bars. About halfway is the only GoGo-bar in town; Hot Sauce but this is not really the place to be. For girls you can go to any other bar, they all welcome you with their Thai-smile and -hospitality.
Best place to go is right opposite the bus station: The Free Time Bar. No hassling, free pool table and a great atmosphere. The owner Tukky knows how to please her customers and is - unlike most of the other bars - not after your money but likes to have a good time. Don't we all? It's never boring at the Free Time Bar, the music is better than I've ever experienced before in Thailand, from Lounge, Rock, Blues until Pop, Romantic and House party. Together with the free peanuts and a free cocktail now and then, it's hard to leave the place.
I've had an excellent time! Apart from the Free Time Bar, check out some Thai Pubs at the main road from the highway to the beach; Baan Pleng and Coco Bongo(better known as the Johnny Walker Pub). They got some good Thai live bands, playing Thai and English music with good food and very friendly people
